BEAMING NORTH
Aurora propogation are coused by the northern light. we can se it very often in the winter time when its clear view to the north. and its making good propogation inside of northern europe.
We can also make good dx to pacific and north,sentral and south america by the north pole.
If you are gonna work aurora you must turn down the modulation and turn upp the pwr. Because the aurora destroying the modulation.So its very important with crystal clear modulation when you are working the aurora.
We can make good contacts with stations we dont hear on the local/groundwave who live on the another side of the montain. So you must try to put your beam to the north. you might get lucky and work really good dx. but remember, LISTEN CAREFULLY
Its really beutifull when we can se the aurora on the heaven when its 20 degrees belov zero outside. then you know that something going on on the 11 meter, so if you can se it sometimes, get your self a beer and relax with the radio. i am sure that you will find a lot of intresting stations on the air.
